Vienethea Ellis Malloy was born April 1, 1938, to Willie and Viola Ellis in Gulledge, NC, Anson County. She attended Chesterfield High school. In 1965, Vienethea moved to New London, CT, where she worked as a welder at Electric Boat for twenty-three years before retiring and moving back to Chesterfield, SC, in 1993. In June 1957, Vienethea was united in holy matrimony to Ulysses Malloy at Davidson Grove Church. From this union, they had three sons, Ulysses, Ricky, and Jeffrey.

She was predeceased by her husband, Ulysses, and two sons, Ulysses Jr. and Ricky Sr. She was also predeceased by five brothers Coppel (Shirley), J.W (Bessie), Roy Lee (Martha), Eugene (Loretta), and Willie (Arlene)

Vie, as she was lovingly referred to, leaves to cherish her memory her son, Jeffrey Malloy Sr. (Darlene); Daughter-in-Law Valencia Blanco Malloy; Grandsons Ulysses Malloy, Jeffrey Malloy Jr. (Vanessa), Muhammad Malloy, Jason Shepard, Ricky Malloy Jr., and Vaughn Malloy; Granddaughters Kenisha Jenkins (Sean), Valencia Malloy, Jazlynn Malloy, and Khristina Malloy; Brothers Jasper (Tina) and Woodrow (Sandra) of Cheraw, SC; Sisters Runette (John) of Chesterfield, Louise (Ramon) of Chicago, and Shirley (Jack) of Alexandria, VA; Numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; Two special cousins, Post Ellis, and Bessie Ellis; and special friend Phyllis Wiggins

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 29, 2023, at Abounding Grace Ministries, 3 Connecticut Ave. New London, Connecticut 06320. Calling hours are at 10 am with services starting at 11 am. Services are entrusted to Lester Gee Funeral Home.
