Sidonie Claudelle Capo-Chichi, age 65, passed away peacefully on Friday March 18, 2022 at Golden Hill nursing home in Milford, Connecticut. She was born on August 231957 in Porto-Novo, Benin Republic, to Michel GOUDOU (Sanitary inspector) andFélicité CHADARE (Nurse). She became a cultural manager in 1987 at ICA-CRACK (Institut Culturel Africain-Centre Régional d’Action Culturelles). She married Fabien Sébastien Capo Chichi on December 30, 1994, in Cotonou, Benin Republic. She later worked as a senior official at the National Cabinet of Alphabetisation and Education of Adults, displaying her dedication for the promotion of women in society. Sidonie truly lived life to the fullest with simple activities, pilgrimage, fasting and prayer, traveling to share the word of God, taking care of her children and grandchildren, spending time with family and friends. She had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. She is survived by her husband, her children (Denoumi, Sewanou and Gbessounde), many nieces, nephews and cousins. Family, friends and others whose lives Sidonie touched are invited to Lester Gee Funeral Home 1390 Fairfield Avenue, Bridgeport at 9am on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 for a viewing, and a church ceremony at Saint Charles BORROMEO Catholic Church 391 Ogden St, CT 06608 at 10 am, to reminisce, grieve, support each other and celebrate her life.
Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Easton, Connecticut.
