Obituary for Oliver White
Oliver Lee White, born December 12, 1949 entered into eternal rest Friday, July 28, 2023 at the age of 73. Mr. White was born in Birmingham, AL to Mr. James
"Big Jeff" White and Hattie M. (Taylor) White.
Oliver Lee White served in the army, he was a New London Police Officer and a Waterford Police Officer in the early 70's. Oliver was an Exalted Ruler of Victory Elks Lodge #1096, New London, CT. After the closure of Victory Lodge #1096, he joined New Nutmeg Charter Oak Lodge #67 of the Improved Benevolent Protective Order of Elks of the World.
Oliver Lee White received his Past Exalted Ruler's Honors and was a member of Gillison Council No. 75. He was a member of the New England States and Eastern Canada Association; he received his Past State President Honors. Mr. White was a member of Thomas H. Scott Security of New England States. He was a member of the Grand Lodge and received his Past Grand Exalted Rulers; he served on the Grand Lodge Security.
Oliver Lee White was a member of the Antler Guard Department; he joined Lewis T. Brewster Martha Stewart Marching Patrol, served as Chief of Staff and Deputy Commander of Connecticut and Northern Massachusetts Brigade. He served in the Eastern Division Antler Guard in the capacity of security.
He is survived by his son Damon White of New London, CT.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, August 4, 2023 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 1 Garvin Street, New London. Viewing begins at 10 a.m. and the service begins at 11am. There will be Military Funeral Honors.
