Obituary for Lloyd DeLong

On the early morning of Sunday, January 23, 2022 Lloyd Don DeLong passed away peacefully at home at the age of 70, surrounded by his loved ones. He was a resident of Groton, CT. He was born September 2, 1951 in Quonset Point, RI to his father, Rev. Lloyd DeLong and mother, the late Eleanor Pearl DeLong. Lloyd was most recently a table games supervisor at Foxwoods Casino where he left his mark on so many with his cool, calm and collected demeanor. He was an avid Disney World fan. The day he returned home was the day the countdown began for his next visit. He enjoyed spending time with his Grandson, Miles, immensely. watching him grow gave him such great joy. Lloyd is survived by his partner; Diane Falco, Son; Victor DeLong, Step-Son; Vincent Austin, Father; Lloyd DeLong, Siblings; Larry DeLong and Connie Taylor, Step-Grand Children; Aaron, Aaric and Aaden Austin, and his Grandson; Miles DeLong.

A dual memorial celebration for both Lloyd and his mother, Eleanor, will be held at Miracle Temple Church , 45 Broad Street, New London this Friday the 28th at 6pm. Relatives and friends may begin to arrive for a "meet and greet" at 5pm.
