Lawrence Larry Davenport passed away on June 15, 2022. The son of Ethel and Theodore Davenport, he was born on August 6, 1956, in Manhattan, New York. He lived in Bronx, New York, for most of his life. In 1977, Larry moved to New London, Connecticut, where he met and married Cheryl Jean Martin and was blessed with a son Andre Lawrence Davenport. He worked as a cab driver for twenty-one years for a 3-farry cab company in New London. He also served as an usher for thirty-four years.

Larry leaves behind his son Andre Lawrence Davenport, daughter-in-law Kimberly Davenport, and granddaughter Ottivia M Holmes whom he loves very dearly; three grandsons: Andre Jr, Alexander, and Aiden who were his pride and joy; two sisters Janice Davenport of New York, and Robin Davenport of New London, Connecticut, a niece; Candy Logan of North Carolina; and a host of cousins, nephews, and friends.
