Obituary for Henry Lagrone
Henry Lagrone, age 72, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 27, 2023, at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London, CT. No service by request. The interment will be held on April 22, 2023, at Mount Vernon M.B. Church in Noxapater Ms.
Henry was born to Willie and Frances Lagrone on October 22, 1950, in Gholson, MS. He is survived d by his children, Heather (Richard) Parsons, Sierra (Marcus) Davis, and Jeramine (Christel) Tates, and siblings Lillie Brown, JB Lagrone, Walter (Annie) Lagrone, Wade Lagrone, Helen Burrage, Willie Hurd, Dorothy Burrage, Dwight Bragg, aunt Ernestine Craig, eight grandchildren and a host of cousins, nephews, and nieces.
At 18, he entered the Job Corps Training Center in Bristol, Tennessee, and became a heavy equipment operator. In 1970, he moved to Connecticut for job opportunities and worked in various companies, such as Tomasso, Fred Benvenuti, Bair Construction, Tilcon, and Mashantucket Pequot Gaming Enterprise. He ended his career with New London Public Works, where he took pride in maintaining the sports fields for the youth. In his memory, consider donating to one of the many youth sports organizations in New London.
