Gloria Maria Alas, 93, passed away on April 3, 2022. She was born Gloria Maria Acevedo Soto in Lares, Puerto Rico on April 6, 1928. Gloria was a loving and caring person. She was very artistic, drawing and coloring pictures, making crafts, and was very good at tailoring clothes. Her greatest legacy was the large family that she leaves behind. Gloria is survived by nine of twelve children, numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is loved and missed by all.

On Saturday, March 9, 2022, a service will be held at Abounding Grace Ministries, 3 Connecticut Ave, New London, CT 06320. A viewing will begin at 9 a.m. with services following at 10 a.m. Interment will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery in New London, CT.
