Obituary for Diane Fraiter
Diane Isabelle Fraiter (Gallagher) lost her courageous 4 years battle with brain cancer on June 6, 2022. Diane was born in Providence, RI on March 23, 1954, to William and Frances Gallagher. She was predeceased by her parents William and Frances Gallagher. She is survived by her three children, Elizabeth Calderon of Baltic, Roberta Shakeel of Philadelphia, PA, and Loretta Rivera and Alfred Mayo of Gales Ferry, and her three stepchildren, Dionne Fraiter of New London, Leonard Fraiter of New London, and Thaddius Fraiter of Ledyard. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Marc Gallagher, Deirdre Kuhse, Kathryn Garrahan, William Gallagher, and John Gallagher.
Diane worked for the State of CT for over 25years as an IT Analyst 3. Diane obtained her bachelor’s degree in 1993 from Eastern CT State University. She was passionate about her work and loved to crochet/knit, garden, play games, and do puzzles with her grandchildren in her free time. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and will be missed by those that loved her. As per Diane’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service held at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Diane’s name.
