Obituary for Camaury Norman-Clack

Camaury Jabezz Norman-Clack, age 19, of Norwich, CT entered eternal heaven on
May 10, 2023, in Norwich, CT. Camaury was born on April 24, 2004, in New London, CT to Lakisha Clack and Sherman Norman Sr.

Camaury was raised in Norwich and graduated from Norwich Free Academy (NFA) in 2022. He went on to attend Dean College in the Fall of 2022 and transferred to Eastern Connecticut State University in the spring of 2023 where he completed his first year of college pursuing a degree in business. Camaury was currently employed at Kohls but also held past employment at Ralph Lauren, Panera Bread and Moe’s. Camaury was a beaming light to his family. His confidence and strength pushed everyone around him.

Camaury kept Jesus at the front of his focus and enjoyed attending church services every Sunday when he was local, with his grandmother, Mary Clack. His mother, LaKisha, worked on Sundays and couldn’t attend, but Camaury made sure to bring and share the Pastor’s word with her after service.

Camaury often started his day with motivational videos and educating himself on investing and day trading. He had a vision for himself to become a successful business owner and to break barriers for his family to become a part of the 1%. In addition to his love for God and education, Camaury was also a passionate athlete and had a great love for basketball. He played for the Norwich Recreation League and AAU (Night Flight League).

When Camaury wasn’t with his family, he spent intimate moments with his girlfriend and a few close friends. Integrity, loyalty, and family values were extremely important to him, and were reflected in everything he did every day.

In addition to his mother, Lakisha and his father, Sherman, Camaury is survived by his grandmothers, Mary Clack and Shavonne Hollis; his sisters, Cierra Clack, Kiana Abson and Courtney Norman; his uncle, aunts and host of cousins.

He was predeceased by his grandfather, Willie Clack.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 11 a.m at Mount Moriah Fire Baptized Holiness Church, 22 Moore Avenue, New London, Connecticut. Family and friends May view at the church at 9 a.m until time of service. Interment will be held in Maplewood Cemetery, 184 Salem Turnpike, Norwich, Connecticut.
